The Sports Injury Clinic has been in existence since 2004 and is a multidisciplinary centre. We are located opposite the Fourways Life Hospital in Cedar Tree Office Park, Fourways. The clinic offers the services of orthopaedic-based chiropractors, a podiatrist (foot and lower limb dysfunction), a biokineticist (isokinetic/orthopaedic rehabilitation) and dieticians (fitness and medically related nutrition). The Sports Injury Clinic works alongside other medical practices such as blood labs, a vascular surgeon, general practitioners, physiotherapists, psychologists, an occupational therapist and audiologists. We have close working relationships with neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons as well as many other specialists. We promise to practice evidenced-based medical care and wellness.

Dr Michael Pritchard - Chiropractor

Dr Michael Pritchard graduated from University of Johannesburg in 2001. Since then he has practiced in Fourways. In 2004 he opened a multidisciplinary sports injury clinic which consisted of chiropractors, podiatrists, biokineticists, sports massage therapists and dieticians. In his practice he also makes use of digital radiology. He has treated many top sportsmen and women and a highlight in the early part of his career was a helicopter flight to a game lodge where he treated the actor Chuck Norris!! He has recently moved and expanded his sports injury clinic to Cedar Medical opposite Fourways Life Hospital. A recent addition to his practice has been a blood lab as well as adjacent practices comprising of GP’s, a vascular surgeon, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and audiologists. He has attended regular local as well as international seminars. He has observed many orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures. Dr Pritchard is also a supervising clinician at the UJ Chiropractic Campus Clinic.

Lawrence Atrash - Podiatrist

Lawrence is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and is a member of the Podiatry Association of South Africa. He has been in private practice for 15 years and joined the Sports Injury Clinic in 2004 as a founder member. He believes in a team approach to injury treatment and prevention. Areas of interest include Sports Medicine, Lower Limb Biomechanics with special reference to lower back pain, Diabetic foot care, Nail Surgery and Laser for Nail Fungus. Lawrence attends courses and congresses regularly and runs an evidence based practice. He uses the latest diagnostic and scanning aids including, pressure plate gait assessment and 3D foot scanning. All of Lawrence’s orthotics are designed by him in CAD and manufactured by CAM (Computer Aided Milling). Lawrence enjoys treating patients both young and old often finding the greatest reward in removing a simple corn!

Dr Harry Papagapiou - Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Harry Papagapiou is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Life Fourways hospital, CureDay clinic Fourways, and Busamed modderfontein hospital. He has a wide range of experience in trauma orthopaedic surgery as well as bone and joint conditions. Furthermore he is a fellowship trained knee reconstructive surgeon specializing in sports knee surgery ,as well as knee replacement surgery.
